How quickly can you fill a position?
For temporary and temp-to-hire roles, we typically present qualified candidates within 24–48 hours of receiving your request. Direct hire placements take longer depending on the role, but we move quickly and keep you updated throughout. For urgent needs, call us directly — we’ve filled same-day requests before.
What industries do you specialize in?
We place candidates across a wide range of industries including administrative, clerical, customer service, sales and marketing, accounting, management, bilingual/multilingual, janitorial, building maintenance, security, landscaping, warehouse, driving, and general labor. We’ve been placing talent across Oahu for over 20 years and know Hawaii’s employer landscape well.
What's the difference between temporary, temp-to-hire, and direct hire?
Temporary placements cover a set timeframe — seasonal work, project coverage, or a leave of absence. The candidate stays on our payroll throughout. Temp-to-hire lets you work with someone before committing — if it’s a good fit, they transition to your payroll once an offer is made. Direct hire means we recruit, screen, and present candidates for a permanent position on your team from day one.
What does your screening process look like?
We interview every candidate ourselves — in person or over Zoom — before anyone reaches your desk. We conduct reference checks, verify work authorization, and assess both skills and cultural fit. We’re not forwarding résumés; we’re introducing people we’ve already vetted.
Can you handle payroll for our staff?
Yes. Many clients run some or all of their workforce through Alliance for payroll administration. We handle taxes, compliance, and HR paperwork. Employees on our payroll for at least a year also become eligible for 401(k) and flexible spending benefits — something smaller companies often can’t offer independently.
We already found a candidate. Can Alliance still help?
Yes. If you’ve sourced your own candidate but need help with screening, vetting, interviewing, or payroll, we can step in. We can complete that entire process and have someone ready to start within 24 hours.
How is Alliance different from larger agencies?
We’re a small, locally rooted team that has been working with Hawaii employers for over 23 years. You’ll work with the same people from your first call through placement and beyond — no call centers, no handoffs. We follow up after placement because a good fit matters to us long after day one.
Is there a fee to use Alliance Personnel?
Fees vary depending on the type of placement and scope of services, and are discussed during your initial conversation. We don’t post rates publicly — staffing needs vary, and we’d rather talk through what makes sense for your situation.
