From first conversation to first day.
From your first conversation to your first day on the job, and beyond, we're with you at every step. Here's what working with Alliance looks like.
Apply or reach out
Browse open positions and apply directly, or submit your résumé if nothing fits right now. Either way, a real person reviews it.
We get to know you
We'll have a conversation — not just about your experience, but about what you're actually looking for. The kind of environment you work best in, the direction you want to go.
We find the right match
We only introduce you to roles we think are genuinely a fit. We're not trying to fill seats — we're trying to make a placement that sticks.
We stay involved
Once you're placed, we check in. If something's not working, we want to know. That's not standard practice at most agencies. For us it is.
Questions we hear often
Is there a fee to use Alliance Personnel?
No. Our services are completely free for job seekers. Employers pay our fee when a successful placement is made.
What kind of jobs do you typically place people in?
We work across a range of industries — office and administrative, sales and marketing, management, general labor, warehouse, and food industry. A significant portion of our placements involve Japanese-English bilingual roles. Some of our employer relationships are exclusive, meaning certain roles won’t appear on job boards at all. Browse our current openings above, or submit your résumé and we’ll reach out when something relevant comes up.
What's the difference between temporary, temp-to-hire, and direct hire?
Temp roles are short-term assignments — part-time, full-time, or seasonal. Temp-to-hire starts as a temporary role with the possibility of becoming permanent once both sides are comfortable. Direct hire means you’re brought on permanently by the employer from day one. We’ll always tell you which type a role is before you apply.
What benefits are available?
Employees on qualifying assignments are eligible for health insurance (UHA), dental (HDS), 401K, FSA, and paid holidays. Ask us about eligibility when we talk.
How and when do I get paid?
You’ll be paid weekly for hours worked the previous week. Timesheets are due Monday and payment is issued weekly via check or direct deposit.
Do I need to have a polished résumé to reach out?
No. If you’re early in your career or returning after time away, we can work with what you have. The conversation matters more than the document.
Do I need to be authorized to work in the U.S.?
Yes. All candidates must have valid U.S. work authorization. We’re unable to sponsor visas or place candidates without current work eligibility.
How long does it usually take to get placed?
It depends on the role and your background. Some candidates are placed within days; others take a few weeks. We’ll be honest with you about timing rather than giving you a number that doesn’t mean anything.
What if I apply and don't hear back?
We review every application. If there isn’t a current match, we keep your information on file. You’re also welcome to follow up with us directly — we’d rather have that conversation than leave you wondering.
I speak Japanese. Do you have opportunities for bilingual candidates?
Yes — this is one of our specialties. We have longstanding relationships with employers in Honolulu who specifically seek Japanese-English bilingual professionals. Several of our current listings reflect this. We occasionally have openings for Korean and Chinese speakers as well.
I've worked with Alliance before. Can I come back?
Absolutely. Many of our candidates work with us more than once. Reach out and we’ll pick up where we left off.
Ready to work with a team that actually knows you?
No lengthy forms, just a conversation.
